Lucite open-ended play introduces children to a unique and captivating way of exploring creativity, light, and color. Lucite, a clear and durable acrylic material, is often used in toys like transparent building blocks, stacking shapes, or loose parts that refract light and add an extra sensory dimension to play.

These materials are especially effective when paired with a light table or natural sunlight, encouraging experimentation with reflection, refraction, and creative designs.
Lucite's versatility supports open-ended play, enabling children to build, sort, create patterns, or incorporate the materials into imaginative scenarios. We recommend playing on low tables or carpet; if these pieces fall from a higher point onto a concrete or hard floor, they may chip. We advise parental supervision and if appropriate, explaining to the kids the nature of the product.
Silicone is a very versatile; a modern material that is safe for kids (doesn't break, can be mouthed) and super easy to clean. LuminoPlay is focusing on creating open ended shapes that are original and non-prescriptive, in modern colours including brights and neutrals.
As Papoose Toys will be solely continuing with natural materials, like wool and wood, the product sets that have mixed materials including Lucite and or Silicone, will become part of the LuminoPlay brand. It will take a little time to transition these items to LuminoPlay, but as stocks deplete we will refill under the new brand name.
